Hello my friend just purchased a Jackson 7 string, it has green strings and looks to be custom made but we're not sure. The serial number is CWJ, any help identifying the model?

I'd appreciate very much if you guys could help me to figure out any info on a Jackson Professional Series i bought recently. Tottaly wasted painting, some rusty parts, but sounds incredibly. Tons of other ones. Probably the one Jackson model that has had the most alternate versions. I'd greatly appreciate input from those who know the most about the Charvel models.

Rhoads - The beginning of Jackson guitars was Randy's white with black pinstripes, v-tremmed, block inlaid V. Things have changed dramatically over the years, and as a result, there are dozens of different RR models throughout Jackson's 25 years.

LTD - Copy of Randy's white one. Some got v-trems, some got recessed Schaller Floyds, some got tunamatics with v-plates. Just like the SL2 - ebony board, no inlays, 22 frets, locking trem, and rear-routed instead of the pointy pickguard on top. RR-3 - Japanese-made, bolt-on, rosewood board with finlays, H-H, locking trem. RR3R - Fairly uncommon reverse-headed Rhoads. Same as RR3, but reverse head. RR-4 - Rare model to see, but I believe these were neckthrough with rosewood and fins and a tunamatic.

RR-5 - Japanese-made neckthrough with rosewood, fins, and no binding. RR7R - Seven-string, Japanese-made, everything else same as an RR-3 except for the extra string and reversed headstock.

Musicians Friend commissioned a limited run of these with Floyds. Kelly KE-1 - Marty Friedman sig model. Did these have s also or TOMs? I think. I know there was one model that got a T for tremolo. T for either TOM or Trem. Later changed to bolt-on, then again with rosewood and plastic fins and became the KE-3 eventually.

Slanted fretboard end. Changed to H-H, It should answer a few newbie questions about identifying their guitar easily. I want to depart this world the same way I arrived; screaming and covered in someone else's blood The most human thing we can do is comfort the afflicted and afflict the comfortable. Tags: None. Probably a few words about XTRR could be added, but anyway, great job. Re: How to tell what model Jackson you have Nice work, Newc. This was done mostly to help people tell what model they've got. Re: How to tell what model Jackson you have Great Job. Looks like the serial number identifier comes from the Jackson web page and it only goes to or Any chances on getting the years to date? It's a bolt neck. White sparkle pick plate. Serial number on back of neck.

I've been searching all over online and can't find anything for my guitar to tell me what year it was made. The plate on the back says and it's a Jackson Professional Dinky Reverse. This is all I can find on my guitar in which I am trying to find out what it is Dinky what??

I just bought a Jackson V that has "Crafted in India" stamped into the back of the tuning head. The tuning machines have would you believe stickers that say Jackson.

It is not a bad looking guitar. I plugged it in in the pawn shop and there was no buzzing or bad feedback. Whoever owned it didn't know how to adjust the floating tremolo to make it level and then set the string height and intonation.

I plan on doing all of that before I pass judgement. The serial number is stamped into the metal neck plate and is NJHK I can't find any information about this guitar anywhere.
