Banco del mutuo soccorso quaranta download

The return of Francesco Di Giacomo after the instrumental "Garofano Rosso" and the Italian lyrics that hadn't been present since "Io sono nato libero" made this album one of the greatest recordings in BMS' discography, sadly, I feel this album is still very underrated. The album opens with " The last track is "Fino alla mia porta" which includes one of the most recognizable keyboard riffs that later would be renamed "Capolinea" , the whole instrumentation is an explosion of flavors while Francesco Di Giacomo sang in a very powerful but yet very sweet way.

Every single song on this album is an absolute masterpiece, there is absolutely no weak point on this. I wonder what was Francesco di Giacomo doing while the rest of Banco were recording "Garofano Rosso". The absence of Francesco di Giacomo or any other singer is actually a negative point to this record; yes, the music is nice but it is only very average music with no interesting moments on it.

It is more than obvious that this is a soundtrack, and probably watching the movie would be the best way to appreciate this material, but to just listen to the album leaves me with a total lack of satisfaction. The album is not a total waste, nice acoustic guitar and piano arrangements once in a while show the talent the Nocenzi brothers and friends had, but most of the album is just filler music.

Just as PFM did with "Photos of ghosts" and "The world became the world", BMS tried to achieve followers in non-Italian speaking countries with English versions of their previous songs. I'm not at all a fan of re-recorded material, alternative versions or forced translations so to my taste, this album was absolutely unnecessary. If you don't understand Italian lyrics and you are one of those people who "need" to understand them to enjoy the music you probably could appreciate this record more than I do, otherwise, give a listen to "L'albero del pane" and move on.

This is a very good album, there's no doubt of that, but comparing it with "Banco del Mutuo Soccorso" and "Darwin! Just as Premiata Forneria Marconi, Banco del Mutuo Soccorso managed to create two absolute masterpieces in as the debut and second records , and most importantly: they were able to create a very notorious change of sound from one album to another, making both of these albums absolutely different and independent to one another.

With their second record, Banco del Mutuo Soccorso got into the universe of conceptual Progressive Rock: an album based on Charles Darwin's theories charged with the most exquisite musical arrangements consolidated them as one of the most promising bands of the 70s Italian Prog Rock scene. The basic rock structure of guitar, bass, drums, and keyboards gets mixed with a lot of different musical textures; "L'evoluzione" is the longest piece and also the most diverse one: it goes from intense rock to some very fuzzy and even a little spacey organ lines with calm middle sections through which Francesco Di Giacomo's voice floats around.

The jazzy instrumental piece "La danza dei grandi rettili" is exquisite: the very discrete percussions and piano give the song its body while Marcello Todaro plays very nice guitar figures with an almost George Benson flavor. The album ends with the short "Ed ora io domando tempo al tempo ed egli mi risponde non ne ho! Along with Premiata Forneria Marconi, Area or Le Orme, another excellent exponent of the Italian scene of Progressive Rock of the early seventies was Banco del Mutuo Soccorso whose debut album was absolutely outstanding: while Vittorio and Gianni Nocenzi filled the album with the most amazing classic piano and keyboards dancing through strong rock lines, sensual jazz and classical arrangements, the powerful guitar, bass and drums patterns played respectively by Marcello Todaro, Renato D'Angelo and Pier Luigi Calderoni gave the album a very solid and overwhelming structure but definitely, the most iconic detail of this record and, the whole discography of BMS was the unique voice of Francesco di Giacomo, of course he was not the only singer in the world capable of reaching those tones but for Progressive or any other kind of Rock it was something absolutely innovative.

The homonymous album of Banco del Mutuo Soccorso contains six pieces: three of them could pass as an introduction, an interlude and a short closure because of their lengths but non of them is a weak track, all of them are as marvelous as the long epic pieces of the record; "R. The short songs as I said before are not at all weak: "In volo" works as a fabulous introduction with very calm keyboards; "Passaggio" is a beautiful hapsichord solo that introduces the great "Metamorfosi" and "Traccia" is a wonderful piano piece that closes the album in a very elegant way.

Banco del Mutuo Soccorso kept launching very good albums through the seventies, just in the same year of this first release "Darwin! Tutto un vero capolavoro, bravo, amici!! Copyright Prog Archives, All rights reserved.

This is not only because of their longevity and the level of success they achieved in their own country, but also because each were able to make considerable inroads abroad, something which didn't happen for most of their contemporaries.

Despite not releasing their first album until , the band actually formed in , their sound centering around the virtuoso dual keyboard work of the Nocenzi brothers, Gianni and Vittorio.

This early incarnation of the band did, however, record some material but this wouldn't surface until see the "Donna Plautilla" album. Their eponymous first album was a remarkably mature piece of inventive symphonic progressive rock with classical influences, featuring excellent musicianship and the emotionally charged vocal delivery of Di Giacomo.

This was quickly followed up by the equally highly regarded "Darwin" and "Io Sono Nato Libero," forming a trio of albums that are essential listening for anyone with even the most casual interest in the RPI genre. In reality this was largely a compilation, as it consisted of re-recorded songs from their first three albums with the exception of one track.

Di Terra", this time incorporating the use of an orchestra. In Gianni Nocenzi was to leave the band, and the following years saw the coming and going of a number of musicians through a series of critically slated albums, at least amongst the prog community. Signs that the band may be returning to their prog roots came in when the band re-recorded their acclaimed first album and "Darwin".

No studio albums have appeared since but the band continued with sporadic live activity and released a number of live albums. Banco Del Mutuo Soccorso Quaranta. Unlimited Streaming. Digital Download. Thirty years after its release, My Bloody Valentine's "Loveless" remains the craziest album of the 90s. This electric monument in the form of a wall of sound was a product of Kevin Shields' deranged mind. It turned the history of rock upside down and remains a major source of inspiration for many musicians from all walks of life. Jazz is no exception. Nordic musicians have been adding their own unique touch to the genre since the 70s and the younger generation continue to sculpt its future.

As New Wave unfurled, the post-punk movement represented a tortured, even radical turn. Categories: All Back. See entire Jazz catalogue. See entire Classical catologue. See the entire Electronic catalogue.
